About Me

I’m a child of God, a lover of Jesus, and He is the One who guides my journey. My husband is my best friend (we’ve been married 20 years), and we have two wonderful girls, a teenager and a toddler (!!!).

I’m a civil engineer working part-time from home. I write about asphalt pavement research conducted by the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) at Auburn University. I love to play the piano, take pictures, read, write letters, and explore.

I’m learning to live with lupus, and strangely enough, it’s taught me a lot about how to live well.

One of my favorite memories (maybe yours, too?) is spending summer evenings catching lightning bugs in a mason jar. Life is full of simple gifts like that. They are meant to be savored with gratitude and shared!
